Chep 2.20 Allegic Reaction. e/w @ 20/1 BOG
Looks a horse to avoid initially having been beaten a total of 32 lths in previous two maidens, but this may turn out to be a poor event and that last run is starting to work out quite well.
Dimity could be a value price come race time but has a question mark regarding the trip.
The trainer also confuses the issue by bringing over another horse who is unraced, but jockey bookings and trainers poor record put me off.
The Hannon pair could actually be poor and win this, but I'm happy to take them on at the prices on possibly bad ground.
Mind looks an obvious candidate having been backed but is now too short for a horse that may be slowly away again.
Trigger Park isn't a bad price @ 14.0, a he could improve for third run and will be fit, but the previous maidens he ran in look poor.
Allegic Reaction looks the type to be a 3yo h/capper and I really cannot see much more improvement in the three weeks from last run, but a combination of trip, ground and the fact it looks a fairly weak race at the top of the market, makes me think it's worth a crack at a long shot. Kirby got a decent record for the trainer, who is in good recent form ( last 3 runs; W,W,2nd), but is not a 2yo trainer.
Hard to know whether I should have waited for a price on the exchange, as it's possible it could be the type to hit 40/50, if there is any support for the front end horses.
