Morning lads
Im minding my 2 boys this morning as the 'ex mrs'is going out this morning. So im able to have a look at the form for todays races
Ive already posted a few for Kempton tonight who have a 'decent'chance'but this 1 surely cant be beaten.
Chepstow 2.00 CREEPY 13/8
This 5 yr old carries top weight in this maiden hurdle over 2 miles 4 furlongs and for good reason. This gelding has contested 'two GRADE 2 hurdles'
His first attempt was on his final race of 2012 over 2miles 4 furlongs. On this occasion he finished 13 lengths behind the very well thought of
'CONEYGREE'on soft ground. That rival has only been beaten once in 4 outings and has won 2 grade 2 hurdles at Cheltenham.
The 2nd and 3rd placed horse where BONDAGE and ACCORDING TO TREV,Those two rivals have also competed in graded races and have both won there last
2 outings, so the form looks 'extremely strong'in the context of this contest.
My selections last run was in a class 2 h'cap hurdle at Cheltenham,on this occasion he finished 4 lengths 2nd to PARTY ROCK.He gave that rival
8ibs that day and considering that rival has gone onto win its last 4 races including a class 2 h'cap at Aintree, again the form looks 'rock solid'
The only 2 negatives would be a small abscence of 167 days and the forcasted 'good'underfoot ground conditions.
Im hoping for a bit of rain at Chepstow today as ive got a suspiscion my selection likes some give underfoot and has raced exclusively on a softer
surface. With this in mind i wouldnt want the ground drying out too much.
However this race is a 'maiden hurdle'and after competing at a much higher level my selection should have too much in the locker for his rivals
today and 'if'completing the course should give you a huge run for your money.
As you know i like to 'protect my stakes'with a touch of cover where applicable,The win is 13/8 but i'd be inclined to place a cover bet on
'2 places' at even money or 3 places at 8/13.
I realise those short odds arnt for everyone but with my larger stakes i do feel a lot safer with a touch of cover cos as we all know anyone can
be beaten...but hopefully not out of the 'cover bet criteria'
The very best of luck boys
