Taking a big risk here on a huge priced each-way shot. John Gosden's CUSHION is 25-1 at B365 (BOG) in the 3.50 at Newbury.
The only negative for me is that she took a bashing from the favourite Songbird a couple of runs back. On to the positives: Firstly, that beating by Songbird was over two furlongs shorter and on softer ground. True, that Songbird has then gone on to winning on faster ground over further next time out but I really am confident that CUSHION will also improve for this step up in trip. Secondly, William Buick could have been in Deauville riding Good Lord Byron in the big group 1 sprint there. According to the Racing Post's website, Hogan has booked Murtagh to ride the Irish raider because Buick is retained by Gosden. Now come on, do we really think Gosden would stop Buick from having a really good chance of winning a group one race to ride a 25-1 no hoper? Exactly - I doubt it too! Gosden would have just put Havlin or Mackay back on. With improvement looking likely over this extra two furlongs and the fact that Buick stays to ride her, 25-1 is definitely worthy of being HIT number 2.

Eh dude
Ive done the same horse EW in my august comp.He was beaten 5 lengths by the Cecil fav but ive got a suspicion he doesnt like soft ground ,on todays firmer surface he might just get a lil closer and at 20's+ im willing to take that risk in an ew capacity
great tip yesterday by the way....had it my BIG WIN lat night

Congrats if you won big. If you're not on the HIT number 2 then I strongly suggest you do soon as Laddies know - only 10s there.

Laddies seem a little confused today bless 'em! Opened at 10s, went to 25s then 20s and now 14s. One thing is for sure is that the Hitman has them all over the place. Now being shortened considerably at a few others and the 25s can't last much longer.
