Rough Rock to have his day again at Yarmouth at a juicy 9-1.
His last run over 6f here two runs ago was his best for a while. Dropped back to 6f after fannying-about over 7 and 8 furlongs to get his mark lowered he finally nearly came good. He was only beaten by one who opposes him again but let's look at him a little closer.
Big Wave is clearly in good form but he's now on a mark off 77 which I reckon will definitely prove beyond him. He's only ever managed one place from 5 runs of a mark in the 70s previously, and he's hardly still improving at the age of 5 after 20-odd runs with the same trainer.
Rough Rock is now 8lb better off with Big Wave who tries to give Rough Rock over a stone in weight??? As if, fellas!
Of the others:
Diamondhead the clear danger but Yarmouth's a funny old track and I'd want to see him act here first.
Jungle Bay and Amosite need 7f.
Putin too high in the weights and can't be improving after 29 races this year alone.
Aaranyow already held by RR.
Confident today fellas that the bookies will definitely feel this one hit them very hard!
